Sequence of events of the Omaha Poker Game
The
Blinds
Before any cards are dealt,
2 blinds are placed in the pot by the 2 players to the immediate
left of the dealer (small and big blind).
1st Dealing of Cards
Every player gets 4 down
cards (pocket cards)
1st Round of Betting
The first round of calling,
raising or folding starts with the player left of the big blind.
2nd Dealing of Cards
Three community cards are
turned over in the middle of the table (the flop).
2nd Round of Betting
Turning over of the 4th
community card
3rd Round of Betting
Turning over of the last
community card
Final Round of Betting
Showdown: Remaining
players show their best poker hand made out of 3 community cards and
2 pocket cards.
